Restored Hope Ministries

RH Woman in Sun.JPG

The Restored Hope Ministries program is dedicated to rescuing young women and their children trapped in sexual slavery, trafficking, and domestic violence. The program offers a safe haven and comprehensive support to help these individuals rebuild their lives. Participants are provided with a mentor and a professional counselor who stay with them through graduation, all at no charge to them.

The program is divided into two main phases:

  1. Restoration Phase: This phase lasts 12-15 months and focuses on removing participants from their adverse situations and providing a safe environment for healing. During this time, participants are expected to stay disconnected from their past environments to facilitate restoration.

  2. Empowerment Phase: In this phase, participants are helped to find employment while continuing to receive housing, food, and basic necessities. This phase aims to build a financial foundation for participants before they transition back into independent living.

The program also provides extensive drug and alcohol recovery, non-medicated detox treatment, professional counseling, mentorship, and basic necessities like food, clothes, and shelter.

The organization’s primary fundraising event, held in Dallas each September, is well attended by charitable individuals and organizations.  It features a dinner, and an auction, both live and silent, during which a variety of contributed items are made available to the guests.  Woodturned items that are donated from across the region typically bring from $80 to $500 each Restored Hope.  All types and sizes of woodturned items are welcome.

Project details:

  • Woodturned items may be anything the turner chooses, i.e. bowls, platters, pens, vases, decorations, etc.  Embellished/artistic items are typically of special interest.

  • Note:  Various non-turned items are also welcomed:  Unique arts & crafts, themed gift baskets, jewelry.

When/how to contribute:

  • Items for Restored Hope may be given to any Board member at any time.  They will then be collected by Alain Schwarz for delivery to Restored Hope.
