About the event

Come spend the day learning from professional woodturning artist, Gary Sanders.  This all-day class will focus on learning how to create your very own veneer pendant necklace.  Gary Sanders teach you and guide you step by step in learning:

  • glue up steps
  • turning process
  • adding embellishments
  • sanding steps
  • finishing process

Participants are to bring:

  1. Turning tools: bowl or spindle gouge, parting tool
  2. Face sheild that meets or acceeds ANSI Z87+ (High Impact), such as this Uvex Bionic Face Shield
  3. Dust mask or respirator if sensitive to dust
  4. One C-Clamp or other clamp that has an openning size of 4" and throat size of 3", such as this Bessey Clamp
  5. Files to make decorative cuts
  6. Magnifying glass 
  7. Optional: Rotary tool with small carving burrs
